He's a quiet defender, doesn't do much wrong but nothing spectacular. From all accounts a good kid, but he has had some concussion issues over the past few years.

Looked good for two weeks out of training camp, injuries and lack of consistency sealed his fate with this team.

He might bounce back, but ceiling is probably 6/7 guy.

The leafs had too many prospects they had to let one go. He was the odd man out unfortunately. He's someone who could make the NHL as a bottom pairing d man. He's super safe and plays the game right. You won't notice him out there at all because he dosnt make mistakes often but dosnt do anything noticeable. I liked him sad to see him go.

Good to note on Percy then... Pens seem to be giving 5 or so "5th-7th" level Dman an open audition for the final spot. Safe to bet one should step up, and he seemed to have the highest ceiling.

I'm warming up to it now after reading about him by Islander fans and watching some clips/interviews.

He seems like a quality guy. There's nothing wrong with that. 500K too much, probably an extra year there too, but Gleason coming off the books basically pays for him and we're laughing next year for cap space once the cap casualties come off the books.

I'm neither thrilled nor upset. We signed one guy to a 2.5 cap hit. Can't do any less than that really. Yea he's a 4th liner but whatever. He's a type of player this team is thin on right now.
