I'm a big Rush fan...but most of that is just classic Canadian rock that isn't very good. Maybe if I were 15 years older and rocked to that stuff in Highschool I would like it more for nostalgic reasons.

It's not just an age gap tho, because I like a lot of 70's/80's Rock like Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Thin Lizzy, Heart, etc..I just don't think that stuff stacks up.

He's up there. Lots of good Folk/Alt rock came out of Winnepeg a few year ago like The Greg MacPherson Bamd, Weakerthans and a few others, but they never made it big outside the college scenes.

How's the defence shoring up? Did I read that Percy wasn't qualified? I thought he was part of plans?

Rik Emmett was/is a guitar virtuoso. Even Alex Lifeson said he is to talented for his own good. But again, different tastes.

Neil Young is mostly solo artist not a band but his backing band Crazy Horse was pretty damn good.

Triumph was one of the best stage bands, even though I was about 13, they were always spot on in their performances.

Yeah exactly, I'm not a Hip fan at all, never liked them, I tried to but I can't listen to them but it doesn't mean they are no good. There is something about their sound that turns me off.
