Didn't qaulify he's on the pens. Zaitsev will help a lot on the back end but we need to trade or sigh Demers for a stable back end.

There was a time, a few weeks ago, when our center depth looked like this:

Stamkos
Kadri
Matthews
Bozak
Nylander
Marner

With Stamkos not happening, Nylander on the wing according to Babcock, and Marner now considered a winger (at least for the short-term), our center depth looks like this:

Bozak
Mattnews
Laich

Totally okay with Matthews-Kadri as 1-2. Naz will be a great 2C for years. Just get him wingers for once. Would like to see one of Marner/Brown/Nylander with Naz.

I think Rychel will be a huge surprise. I think he makes a huge step under babcock and fits into the top 6 this year.

Interesting. I really know nothing about the guy, but a lot of people seemed to like him. If ShannaLou are on to something with a few of these guys that is huge. We still need to find some wallets.

rather Luke Schenn for much cheaper $ & less term.

I'm interested to see if any of the prospects outside of the big names steps up to make the team. Especially with the Marlies having done amazingly well the last couple of years you figure there's got to be a few other guys who will do well with the big team. Brown, Sosh? I'm not nearly as familiar with the farm guys as many of you. Who after the big 3 can for real make the team.

Soshnikov or Hyman will also make it.

It's gonna depend. Now that we don't have Stamkos we have the cap space to be able to afford to dump all those poopty Sens' players in the minors and make more space for youngsters. Michalek, Greening...Laich maybe even.

MOst likely we wait a year to find our prime aged Top 4 guy. No rush. And next year teams will be under more pressure to move players with the expansion draft coming.

Plays with and edge and has some nice hands. He wasn't given an opportunity to succeed but he will under Babcock.

Apperently his parents are the classic crazy hockey parents though complained to the jackets about Rychel not getting enough ice time.

I think they might slide Matthews in at 2, and keep Bozak as their face-off third line guy. Bozak would be a nice third line centre for the next few years. Eventually Kadri moving down to 2.

Forgot about Rychel. He's a rookie. I think he's gonna really have to earn a spot. Just too many good forwards on the Leafs now. Weird, I never thought I'd say a sentence like that.
