No but the 20 other players that aren't the tough guy won't do dumb poop because they will get hit from our tough guy.

The tough guys aren't there to scare each other, they are there to scare everyone else. They benefit the game for a ton of reasons.

Coaching matchups change.
A few less elbows in a game.
A few less cheap shots from "not tough" guys.

If one guy gets punked on any team and nobody stands up for him. The game is LOST.

One tough guy backs up your player and mixes is it up, no momentum swing down but a chance for a momentum changer.

Its just not tough guy vs tough guy.
