Soupy has agreed to come home for around $2 mil. Only question on D is if TVR will be moved. I'm not a fan of Svedberg or McNeill myself. Move them too while you're at it Stanley. Hartman, Motte and Schmaltz all at 925k and lower on ELC's. Also in favor with those who clamored for Moose to get more time. Rozy better be 7th d-man majority of the time and I can't for the life of me figure out why Mashtaters is back other than the low cap hit he came with.

People were concerned about Panarin being too small and look how strong he is. Shipachyov is slightly bigger and can play physical i've seen it in person. Also he didn't exactly have to be a physical force when he had Panarin and Dadonov on his wings. That line was special.

Weren't both Ship and Dadonov said to be exploring a move to the NHL, but at least one (Dadonov?) signed on to stay in the KHL another year? Wonder if they would ultimately try and reunited that line here? Hell of an incentive for Panarin to stay. Seems he loves playing with them.

Hatman will definitely be on the team next year in a bottom 6 role.

My thoughts exactly... Him and Lucic have been rumored to get that term... The only FA I'd give that term to is Okposo. If Ladd was looking for that much term I'm glad it wasn't coming from us... Loved having him back, but a 7 year deal may be ugly down the line for the Isles

#Blackhawks gave qualifying offer to Mark McNeill. Those who didn't get one and are UFAs: Brisebois, Fraser, Haggerty, Ross.

Considering how good our division is I am fine with this. I think Winnipeg has a chance to be really good in a year or two, Nashville is elite in my view, and the Blows are the blows. I think Dallas takes a step back next year.

I bought into Peg last year and that was before Ehlers showed he's the real deal and them drafting the Finn this year.

If they stop the idiocy and get Hellybucyk in net this team will be a load, and for a long time. STL like physical play with 50 times more skill.

The Hawks have a TON of "ugly down the line" contracts. It's the price of doing business it seems.

I am not making an argument for McNeill, but it's not like the Hawks have options galore. The 'passed by' comment may be because McNeill has transitioned his game more. I understand he has become a pretty decent penalty killer.

On Shipachyov:

It seems pretty complicated as to if he can or can't come to the NHL this season. I think if he were able to come over to the NHL it would be between the Hawks and Habs with the Hawks being the front runners for a few different reasons. Money wise i'd say around $2 million.
