So long Andrew, Loved ya here , too bad you couldn't stay! .......Soooooo, safe to say along with the Sharp trade, the Leddy trade, that Stan got it stuck in his Moon on the Saad trade. Dano, gone, Ladd gone, 1st round pick for Ladd gone! Can't be happy about this, but yet SB brings back Rosival and Clubfoot Mashintor! Amazing Stoshu! Hope the rest of the day is better!

I agree. TVR is a very, very good value to the team. They better get something good in return to move him. Not to move him just so Rozy can be the interpreter for Kempny
- hawkeytalkman

Rosy can barely play anymore. Did they not watch him in the playoffs? He eventually got benched, with the Ghost of David Rundblad creaking his way down the stairs to frighten us all.

Rosy needs to be a NUMBER 7 at best. Let him skate at practice and teach Kempny the English language.

Sounds like #Flyers may be the front-runner of three teams in on Dale Weise.

- hawkeytalkman

I for one liked Weise and think if he adapted to the system a bit longer, could be a huge force and needed asset for this team. Damn shame

There's been conflicting reports about whether he's actually able to leave the KHL. Some folks said that he could only to have others knock that down.

Yeah it's complicated.

Rozy can be just as effective of an interpreter and mentor in practice. Let TVR skate as 5/6

Fair enough Spud. We are all looking and let me be very clear. I WOULD LOVE to get Yak, but word is the Oil are having a time getting anything for him. For once I'd like US to be on the good side of one of these deals. I'd give Oil ONE of the younger guys, but they EAT salary regardless. In no way do they get both TVR and McNell, that is unless they ate ALL of Yak's salary, which isn't happening.

The thing about McNell, it seems the belief is he was on the out and I was absolutely sure he would be traded, even when he signed his QO, but there he is still here. Perhaps the Hawks believe he is ready and the extra time in Rock was basically "over seasoning" the way the Wings used to do it.

I think McNell is part of the vision.

I'd like to see McNeil get a legitimate chance this year - and see him seize the opportunity. I've been burning a candle for this kid since draft day. Agreed a TVR and McNeil package for Yak would be an overpay - even with EDM retaining salary. BUT, the price for Yak has to be more than just a 3rd - because some team would have already jumped at that deal. TVR for Yak + some retained salary is intriguing. However, from the rumors it appears some teams may be offering more.

I agree. The trade for Dale and Flash and the subsequent silliness that ensued indicates a horrific disconnect between the Coach and GM.

Not that I'm in on this Ship thing but has he played on a smaller surface?
- Mr Ricochet

Nope but neither had Panarin. His vision is his strongest skill it's almost like he sees the entire ice no matter which way he's facing.

Ek or someone who watches more Rockford games than I have can maybe chime in, but McNeill started working harder on his 200 foot game, being utilized on the PK more of late. It sounds to me like they want to transition Mac into a bottom 6 role. Where he was drafted quite high with "top 6" potential, perhaps the thinking was lets utilize him as a higher end bottom 6 guy, but we gotta teach him that game first.

I could easily see McNeill slotting in as a Third Line wing.

I wonder if Stan makes a run at Connor Carrick. Great young puck moving defenseman

He's defense...I'll take him. Although if Soupy signs no chance we go after Carrick.

Unless he's a body for Rockford, don't think he makes sense for the 'Hawks as they already have their top-six with Campbell in the fold, and have Rozy, Goose, and Sved as insurance.

Why the hell does Colorado feel they need RNH?

Rado just seems so mismanaged starting with allowing Roy to be the coach....... This franchise needs a total rebuild starting from the very top on down.

Considering how good our division is I am fine with this. I think Winnipeg has a chance to be really good in a year or two, Nashville is elite in my view, and the Blows are the blows. I think Dallas takes a step back next year.

I am thinking past just this year. When Soupy leaves next summer, Carrick can come up and take his place, or have a running shot at it

John,

Great stuff.

Still remains even if they make a deal for Crawford doesn't he still have to approve any deal and let's be honest why would he go to Buffalo who is worse than Calgary?

Per laz twitter: Mark McNeill received a qualifying offer and is the only RFA the #Blackhawks have. Kyle Cumiskey, Michael Leighton among the UFAs.

and you won't be seeing him at the UC anytime soon
- wiz1901

On Shipachyov:
DaBearsHawk: You seem to have some connection to the russians...What do you know about Ship and his chances of becoming a Hawk? Do you think he plays in NHL in 2016/17? How do you handicap the chances of that being with the Hawks? How much money will he sign for?

Wiz: Do you know this player well, and what causes you to say "wontbe seeing him at UC any time soon"?
