For Landeskog's 53 pt season? GL's good and love to have him but not for the Bread Man.... Send them Krugs, 50 draft picks and a Bickell game jersey... - Kewl1
If Panarin wants 7+ then that saves 1.5 against the Cap. You can actually help put better players around the core guys. If Panarin wants that and the lanche would do that trade I'd spin it before they could think twice. 5.5 for a legit top 6 winger is a steal considering what we're seeing today. If Panarin will sign for that great...but i bet he won't. |

I was saying it a month ago. There is a reason Stan isn't making moves for a F.
Ship and Vessey. - vabeachbear
Is Vessy worth waiting for? I can't see him lining up next to 19 and 81 this fall... |

Or if he gets 7.3 then its Two first-round picks and a second- and third-round pick.
Honestly, I kinda liked the deal Bowman got for Saad, but the main reason I liked it was Dano (of course dumped for a rental). With just a bunch of picks you may not get a guy who can ever even make the NHL unless that pick is top 5. - kwolf68
If they let Columbus sign him they would have had the third overall this year |

I'd rather roll with Panik as 1LW than Vanek (God forbid). Vanek is less of an answer than Panik. |

Why wait? How can they wait? How can the Hawks get into a bidding war for this guy? If that's what Vesey wants then we have no chance at him. If he DOES want to play in Chicago and Bowman wants him, just make a move to get his negotiating rights. If he waits then now you compete with 30 teams. The entire meme that Stan is waiting for Vesey doesn't seem logical to me. If Bowman wants him he needs him to NOT goto open market where the Hawks have to compete with teams with more money to burn. |

IMO I don't see a market for Crawford - HamiltonHawk
A two time Cup winner at market rate? As long as Stan's not asking for the world.
We have to realize its not the quality of the player that determines his value to the team, but rather the quality of the return in trade coupled with the quality of his replacement.

Yea I agree. I'm not sweating that. Like I said I loved getting Dano. Thought he was perfect. I didn't even mind trading him, but for a pure rental (plus a #1) was tough to swallow. |

I just think that the hawk's problem with signing Panarin is:
1. They don't have the cap space, and
2. There is an offer sheet threat
The problem is 95% 1, and 5% 2.
If they had the money, the offer sheet wouldnt be a threat.
If they dont have the money, who gives a crap whether he gets offer sheeted, since they dont have the money. - Cmonalready
If he wants Taresenko money and somebody is going to give it to him, I'm not sure it isn't best to let it happen.
Not sure if they'd get as good of a deal than that. Remember, not really going to be able to take back that much salary next year either. |

Doubt this ever happens but when I read Landeskog was on the market instantly I thought of Landeskog for Panarin. He would probably put up 10-15 points less than Panarin but as I posted his numbers already he checks every, every other box better than Panarin. The biggest being him skating with Toews keeps Johnny healthy for 2-3-4 more years and would allow Toews to hit his ceiling.
The Cossack can never do what Landeskog could in that regard and 7-8-9 other regards.

Wait, I thought that Vesey was in the same boat as Kevin Hayes. He's on an ELC and on Aug 15th he can sign with any team he wants but the terms are an ELC. I'm I wrong? |

Not a knock on Crawford , I just don'tsee a lot teams in need of goalies or at least don't think they need goalies making 6 million. |

I hope you're right! Vesey would be a huge add to the system. Even if he isn't a 1LW this year, he has high end potential and is a big body Wing that projects Top 6...just what the Hawks are lacking. - EnzoD
