Exactly. Sooo many people female doged about the 4th line, we go out and upgrade the 4th line and people are female doging about upgrading the 4th line.

Hopefully a kid with wheels like Leier can beat out VDV and the 4th line could be:

not only is that an upgrade from last year's 4th, but Leier has been an excellent PKer at every level as well.

The term really isnt a problem. its under 2.5 mil, and he is a guy that can be moved. Hell, even if he isnt moved, and he plays the way he has the past few seasons, its a solid deal.

All depends on where the cap is in a couple of years. If, by 18-19, it's approaching 80 million, Weiss' cap number really isn't an issue.

while not a prospect would have no issue with colin macdonald on that 4th line.

leier has 2 years in the ahl under his belt. he should get a long look. maybe a guy like martel can add some speed that everyone drools about. my plan would have been to wait until later to find a weise type.

flyers are ways away from cup contending just don't see the need for this type of move. they get read of read this summer then no issue.

The 4th year is to keep cap down.

Also he could be moved at TDL if needed in future. Teams love those type of players for the playoffs.

If Therrien had issues with PK, wait till he gets a load of Radulov.

He's signing a FA deal. This is likely his best offer. Why would another team trade for him unless he significantly improves next season? If another team liked him so much, they could sign him to a bigger deal now

Weiss is a much better player than CMac. There is a reason that a guy like CMac is in the minors in a 30 team league. He's just not that good.
