Do yourself a favor, unfollow them all. Doing so really freshens up your timeline. - Scoob
I might do that. I follow them because they'll announce things once in a while, but they never have any good information about the team. To be honest, they have more disinformation than actual information.
Decided to finally join today after reading Bill's posts for a while. Best writer on here without a doubt.
What's the feelings on taking chances on signing Vanek and Grabner to show me deals, if the prices are right? I'm just imagining putting them on a line with Raffl and forming an Austrian trio
But it may just be the fact that my family is from there clouding my thoughts - KimmoTherapy
I dunno man. I doubt it, but I would not mind seeing Grabner.
Not a great signing, not a terrible signing...Weise is tradeable at $2.35mm, worse comes to worst - Jsaquella
I don't think it is a terrible signing. And I am NOT signalling you out here as many have said the same thing but the idea that 'he is tradeable' idea is absolute BS. If he is playing poor enough to trade him he will have no value (probably negative value) and if he is playing well enough then why trade him. It's not a sound 'silver-lining' or justifiable excuse. Sorry, I don't like it and find it worthless.

Any GM's offer them more? - PLindbergh31
Players have routinely chosen the Flyers in free agency and they have a very strong reputation around the league. Not sure what you're getting at here.

Bill tweeted the Wiese contract is an overpayment.
Stamkos took a discount to sign with the Lightnining, Suter, and Parise took less money to sign in Minnesota.
Who are the players who took less money to sign with Philadelphia? Other than Andrew MacDonald of course. - PLindbergh31
reality is until the Flyers are a real contender again they will lose out on free agents unless they over pay or over term the contracts. Guys like Perron who take what seems to be a decent contract will choose the better teams.
anyone know anything about former Hobey Baker award winner Andy Mele the Flyers signed?

Just sayen. - coffee junkie
He could be playing well and the Flyers might not be a good shape in the standings. You would have to weigh the offer against what Weise gives you.
It's not an excuse either. I don't think the deal is bad at all. he upgrades the bottom 6. He brings an identity.
Also until the season starts you can't view this move wholly. I still think more moves will be mad to reshape the roster.

So do other better sources. Believe me, you won't miss anything good by dropping them.
Haha! True. I'm not a fan of overpaying to replace third pairing dmen, and 4th liners. Doesn't make much sense. But there isn't any money to bring in a real difference maker, so it is what it is.
