Not terrible. The past couple of seasons he has played a solid role and has actually kicked in a good amount of points.

He is a guy who can bounce around the lineup a bit too. Hexy loves versatility. Hell he scored at a 45 point pace with the Habs before getting traded last season.

what does he do to help this team where they are at right now? in 3 years?

unless one of read or raffle are being moved you don't need weise for 4 years.

He's an upgrade over White. A strong 4th line player who can step up on the 3rd line when needed and he seems to consistently put up 10 goals and 20 or so points. The 4 year length is no big deal to me. With an upcoming expansion draft and, very likely, another one coming a year or 2 later, I very much doubt he's still here by year 4 of the deal.

I can't imagine what Ryan White must have been asking for in order for Hextall to feel compelled to give Weise 4/10mil.

It's the dollars that bother me -- Weise isn't the worst they could do, but that salary is a July 1 Special

hate to say it but if you are Perron would you choose the Blues or Flyers on a short term deal at their present state? Flyers aren't really a destination right now unless its a total over pay

and I won't like, I am glad they are staying away from the Ladd, Lucic, Ericcson players at those terms.

yep...weise you sign when all the dust settles for lower term and $$$

this team doesn't need any bottom 6 guys who when all is said and done wont make any significant diff in winning and losing.

they need skill guys

Now signing an aging Ladd to a 7 year deal, that's a joke.
