Contrary to some thoughts, they tried to trade Nash, couldn't find anyone to take his contract. I think that would have provided quite a shake up.

I mean right now the Rangers replaced Staal, yandle, Moore and stalberg with grabner, Holden and gerbe

They cant honestly sit there and say we are good going into next year. I expect a trade at some point to shake things up.

I agree and disagree. A lot of guys underperformed last year whether it was due to injury or just not playing well. Hayes had a sophomore slump and I think we all expect him to be better than he was. Kreider was invisible until the 2nd half. Nash only gave us 15 goals. McD battled through his injuries and didn't look himself. I wouldn't say Miller underperformed but had that 1 great stretch then came back down but I think we can expect 50+ pts from him this year. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Staal/Girardi can't play any worse than they did. . . Can they? Skeji will be a defensive upgrade over Yandle but we will miss his offensive instincts.
Most importantly, we improved our TERRIBLE pk and didn't lose probably our 2 best pker's in Stepan and Nash.

Rangers should put a call in to detroit for Pulkkinen or Athansiou or both, they are log jammed on the wing now

the issue at hand is not who has been let go or who they replaced them with, its that they havent improved themselves.
granted, there is still 2+ month of off season left, but they are no better now than before, and are worse than the team that went to the Finals and 3 of 4 ECF.
over the last two seasons the competition has improved, the Rangers, so far, have not and will be left behind if they do not figure out a way to be better before the puck drops in October.
