Been in meetings all day, and missed all the fun. I'll say this, can't say I am not happy not paying the price for some of these guys today. Jeez, with some of these deals. Wouldn't have minded Vanek at that rate, but otherwise not really too disappointed.

I'll also say, I think Eric Staal's deal is a fair deal. I think he'll outperform that contract in Minnesota. The fact that the Rangers weren't even willing to pay that money to him, really says something.

There was nothing that happened today that would have made you guys a better team. Now that free agency is over teams that missed out will be looking to trade. Nash and Marc Staal could be moved probably.

McGinn would have been a decent pick up at an ok price. Other than that I agree.

I think after the draft and today the rangers have stayed the same or a little lower in talent . Losing Yandle will hurt a bit but the others not so much . It may be tough to make the playoffs next year if nothing happens between now and October . The only good thing that happened today is the Rangers didn't sign any long term contracts and islanders got worst !!
