I don't know
I think I'd rather have Vanek at 1 year 2.6 than Grabner at 2 years 1.65 per.
I'd rather have the PP goals than 50 breakaways and 49 shots wide. - Blueshirts16
Rangers PK (frank)ing sucked something bad last year. They addressed a need cheaply. I'm really failing how to understand people are against this. We are talking 2 fourth line role players for 2.25 a year combined. |

The reason for me is that finding PP help is always much harder to find especially at a discounted price than it is to find PK help. |

I like it. now need to get the cheap third/second line wing/centerman. I like Gagne for a break out 20+ goal season. Unless the kid (Beauch) is ready looks very small. |

You need 4th line players that can score to be successful in this league. All the contenders have good PKs...with players that can play at even strength and produce offensively too. |

Hear ya but Hagelin definitely is a smarter player than Grabner. Much better forechecker as well. But yes, haha, breakaway...shoots...wide |

So what great 4th line PK'er who can score was available for cheap?
You have to take what you can get. With Stalberg gone and probably Moore, we needed PK help and 4th liners.

Chimera/McGinn/Colborne/Vanek - give me Chimera and one of McGinn or Vanek and I would have been happy. |

As is, in your opinion, we're weaker than a year ago?
G being bought out likely the only way to improve? |

Look at the years the Rangers made deep runs in the the playoffs though. What was better the PP or the PK? Give me a shutdown PK any day. |

I agree with what you are saying, however, finding goals and a PP guy is much harder to find on the cheap than a PK guy. PK guys are always being made available. On this day, they should have, if possible, addressed another glaring issue which is goa scoring especially on the PP. |

Well I thought they missed out on McGinn, he was definitely a guy I wanted after the season ended. I still think there will be moves made. I'm just willing to wait to see what happens the rest of the summer. Really don't think they missed out on anything too good today. I'm just happy they at least addressed one glaring hole so far. |

Yea you can't be mad about today. Didn't overpay for anyone, added some bottom 6 depth and PK depth. But still Gorton said he wanted new blood in here, they haven't shaken up the core at all. I thought that would happen. But it is only July 1st. I expect a few trades at some point to follow |

Yup. Gonna be some trades. And honestly I would rather go the trade route than the UFA route . |

Pipe dream would be a JVR, Duchene, shattenkirk, or Landeskog type of shake up...but that prob won't happen |

So wait Okposko, Ladd, Backes, Lucic and Erickson all signed deals that pay them 6 million per year...kind of ironic |

I'm not sure what they would want or need. They did take Captain Shoulderpads at one time. Maybe we can convince them to take Girardi or Staal. |
