Stamkos did both teams a favour by staying in Tampa. It probably would have taken 12+ million for him to consider leaving the tax free state of Florida, plus join teams that are at least 4 years away from even thinking of contending.

The question now is, if either of them are dumb enough to over pay for one of the second rate UFAs available.

buffalo vs. toronto is a pretty good rivalry. both teams are cup contenders with a great history of winning in the past 50 years. keep it going!

Deal with him for another year, then try trading him to Vegas or choose to leave him unprotected and hope Vegas takes him in the draft. Can you guys imagine him in vegas??? He would never be at practice due to partying

I'm assuming you were trying to quote me. We like the rivalry. Seems to always mean something even if both teams suck. Isn't that what a rivalry is? I envy the redwings, they are the model franchise, but they are on the downswing, and both the Tor and Buf franchises are moving up. Eventually all good things come to an end. And let's be real, apart from your attempts, your teams rivalries lie out west with the avs and Hawks. Moving teams sucks, but it's good for the product, and any rivalry must be reborn into something new. I hope that I learn to hate the redwings, as this will mean that the relocation worked in creating something to loath as a fanbase
