This is due to Can/US tax treaty signing bonus money can't be taxed more than 15% vs 39%. Saves #stamkos about 15 mil over length of deal

I don't share the Landeskog love. Nice player but not even close to Panarin. He won Calder with 52 points then got 65 points the following year, then 59 and then 53 last season. No way I give up Panarin to get Landeskog.

Landeskog gives a team tons that can't be measured on the scoresheet, much like Toews. You slot this 23 yr old that has FIVE full years in the NHL next to Toews you won't see anyone fool with Johnny again.

Kid will not put up Panarin numbers but will give you 175-200 hits, 20+ goals, 60+ points, 1st unit PP, superb advanced stats, big size with skating ability to skate with any line in this league, give Toews grit/size/skill/protection combo he's never had as a linemate and he's inked for 5 more years at 5.6 per.

I make that move.

Not surprised about Duchene given Roy's outrage for him celebrating his 30th goal when the Avalanche were either out of the playoffs already or still in the hunt but outside looking in.

A little surprised about Barrie when it was known a month or so ago that he was being shopped.

And really surprised about Landeskog. You build around a guy like him. If the Avalanche trade him and Duchene, looks like MacKinnon is the guy to lead and build around. I just can't see MacKinnon being happy under Roy.

Anybody who thinks the pariah Evander Kane can once again yield a good player or even an excellent player like Landerskog better get their heads examined.

Now I could easily see the Avs try and move both Barrie and Duchene and me thinks they probably can do well with a return.

You would have to think for Colorado to want to clear salaries they are shopping UFAs...

In my humble opinion, they both fit the Wild needs to a "T".

It's hard to swallow Landerskog getting traded unless they are getting a REAL player back...

It is enticing from a fan's POV. But Panarin, like Landeskog will only get better. Again, subtracting 1 for another - still stuck with one top 6 LW. Gotta think Panarin's ceiling is a bit higher Mr R?

IDK if you could expect him to get that coaching here (or in Rockford); my guess is he's either figured it out on his own (you'd think getting sent down after 2 games would get your attention) or he won't be around much longer.

Believe he's only signed for the upcoming year, so he's got that fire underneath him to make it this year.

There are issues in Colorado and they need to be a playoff team and last for awhile...They don't draw all that well.
