I respect your opinion but I think trading is the worst idea. Keep our picks and prospects, stay the course of rebuilding through draft and development. Sign some fillers. They only cost $ and cap space and we aren't in desperate need of either as we continue to build from within.

I think with Stammer signed, Stevie will want to keep the core together. But it may be possible to snag a lesser asset, a Namestnikov or a Killorn.

The only way it makes any tiny bit of sense (and barely that) is if Bishop ends up in Dallas, TB takes on Bernier, and the Leafs take a Dallas goalie that neither TB and Dallas want. Leafs would only do that for a huge sweetener.

I think Leafs should ice roster filled with kids under 25. They have enough of them to do it. But that'll mean taking very patient approach.
