okay, you look at the remaining UFAs, and come up with 4 guys that are worth $5M a year, and then tell me, how many you think the Leafs will get. They can pitch every single one of them, and they won't get more than 2. They may not even get 1.

Both could use another year with the Marlies. Let them develop there.

If on the off chance one of them takes off, that only causes expansion draft protection issues. Let them do it next year, if it's gonna happen at all.

over 20 teams last year had more than 2 goalies play for them throughout the year anyway. Injuries happen, even without trade, they'll likely see the big club.
