We got rid of a decent number 2-3 in Phaneuf, a sort of tough 4-5 in Polak, and replaced them with Frankie Corrado and Connor Carrick, a couple of guys not good enough to be a 6-7 on better teams.

Hoping Zaitsev can be decent but I would be shocked if Lou doesn't give up some forward prospects for a d-man, now that he has the goalie thing solved.

there is absolutely no good reason nor is there ANY fact basis to keep Bernier.

yes, he played better during "garbage time" last year after Reimer was dealt to San Jose - but let's be clear he was a raging tire fire prior to that.

there was a period of approximately 12 months during latter half of the 14/15 season and the beginning of the 15/16 season where he went that period without a win.

so let's keep a guy who has been anything but consistent... because we don't want to give a young guy a chance.
