Not a fan of that at all. I don't hate Okposo, but if Stamkos is worth $8.5, then Okposo shouldn't be over $6 IMO.

If we do get Okposo, wouldn't this mean that Murray is back to trying to get players the players that resemble the west coast teams? Big, fast and powerful. It would seem that players like Kane, Okposo, Eichel, Foligno, Gus, Deslauries fit that mold. I could see Ennis having great value with those kinds of guys around him as he would be free to dangle.

He was. I didn't hear him say that he knew anything (like he has in the past). He speculated on several things (including Fowler).

Have to think ..Elite players seem to be in the 9.5-12 range. so 7-8m would be considered the next tier. 5-6 and so on.

I've come around on Okposo from what I've heard today.

- Very good Corsi
- Production did not drop when JT was out of the lineup
- Even strength production was 22nd in league
- Very good guy off the ice
- Would have led the sabres in scoring over the last 3 years

I am with you on him too. I wanted no part of him until last night. Some NYI guys say he is the real deal. Even if it is 7 per year, thats what we paid Vanek years ago and will get similar production. Sign Okposo and Vesey, then trade for a D like Fowler and this team is going to get into the playoffs.

If I'm not mistaken, Okposo hasn't played a ton of time with JT. I think maybe they get time together on the PP, but I thought I remembered seeing he didn't play a ton with JT overall.

Past 3 yrs there could have been a couple goalies that could be ranked up there in scoring .
