Was here last year when 89 broke the ROR deal before the draft. 95% of deals don't end up happening, but that doesn't mean people don't have a solid connection.

Are we fearful of signing Okno based on another former Isle we signed who turned into cow dung or you guys just don't care for Okno.

This board is entirely too fascinated with whether or not someone has a solid source or not. Its sort of like watchin chicks in high school argue whose gossip is better, its sad.

89, 39, and a few others are putting stuff out there. Choose to like it or not but at least they're furthering actual hockey discussion instead of just whining about other people's track record on an internet message board.

Landy has been statistically better than Okposo by age comparison.

Also where are you referencing his PP60? Is that even strength or all situations?

Just straight points per 60, over the course of his career Okposo is 2.26 and he had a couple brutal years early in his career, Landeskog is 2.21

If you watch The avalanche games then you would understand that landeskog is a complete player he brings more to the game then points just like Ryan O'Reilly

Okposo would of been the teams highest scorer this past season by 9 points.... I don't get all the hate. He spent 70% of the season playing along Nielson as well. I'm with the majority of the posters here in saying that I'm scared we'll over pay. Anything over 5.5 and I'll freak out. But the hate this guy gets is borderline comical. Good two way RW who has great speed that will fit with this roster and is 28 years old, which is still relatively young.

My opinion on Okposo. He isn't the fastest skater, bad eye, and he's been fairly inconsistent throughout his career. I think he's a guy that's going to get paid more than he should, and I don't want to end up paying him 6.5 million for 40-50 points.

So because Lande was better sooner than Okposo that means he's the better player and we should dislike Okposo or not sign him? I'm not sure I follow that

Eh, we have more of Landy's prime years if we get him.

I'm not a huge Landy fan but he's had 3 seasons where he's played 80+ games and another at 75. His points are 52,17 (39 games) 65,59 and 53.

Okposo has had some good seasons, and also some train wreck ones

4 goals and 24 points in 48 games
5 goals and 20 points in 38 games

He's also missed significant time in 3 or 4 years
