Heard Shattenkirk won't sign in EDM so it nixed a trade from happening.

Honestly I wouldn't mind Eriksson or maybe even Brouwer. The roster has gotten significantly younger. It's not a burden to have one or two older guys provided they can still produce. I wouldn't give them a ridiculous term, but if Eriksson clicks he could put at least 25 I'd expect even in NJ. If his 5v5 looks good then we could definitely use him.

I love Backes, not sure how much he's got left though given his style of play.

Agreed 100%. Right now we have 3 defensemen capable of playing at the NHL level. Greene, Severson and Moore.

Even if Ray brings both Schlemko and Merrill back they need to add.

I'm looking even further than that. Obviously we need to add someone short term to cover for Larsson, but I don't see a long term solution in our system either. Wouldn't mind going after Okposo or Eriksson and see what Camm could bring back in a trade.

Fowler is available. Reunite him with Hall and Henrique from the Windsor days? Although after what we just got for Larsson I think the asking price on a top 4 RHD is through the roof.

My prediction for tomorrow, one of Schultz, Wiz or Lovejoy will be a Devil before 5 PM.

Okposo seems to the got rumor right now for us. If we could get Schultz I'd be very pleased, though. I can't see us making another trade unless it's Cam going. I'm not all too sure what he would command in a return.
