I think Toronto is building a very solid base. In another year or two, if they keep on the same track, I think they'll be strong contenders in the East. That's not to say TB won't be. TB is definitely better now, and possibly will continue to be. TML's have a lot of young talent with nice potential (much like TB a few years ago).

sorry im late......why in the hell would he wait all season......2 days before free agency to just resign in tampa? Its the biggest let down ever lol. Not just as a leaf fan, but as hockey fan that loves a good shake up to the league.

as for my denial there's a sign and trade rumour, and apparently tb in the only team that could possibly sign stamkos to an 8 year deal (not sure why or if true) but maybe him and the leafs wanted an 8 year deal so tb does that for us and you guys get something from us instead of losing him for nothing. Ya i know im losing it

hes been playing for edmonton his whole career, look at the change in effort for kessel. Being on poop teams for years takes the hert out of alot of players, and i don't blame them, sucks to be drafted to horrbile teams that somehow get worse every year

If I was a Nashville fan, I'd be thrilled. Weber has an absolute cannon of a slapshot, but PK is much more dynamic. People will say Weber is on the decline, which I don't know is true, but I think PK is a better all around player and fits the faster model of the NHL. Pair him with Josi, Neal, Forsberg and whoever on the PP and you have a top 3 - 5 unit in the NHL.

Plus PK is three years younger. I think you got the better end of the deal (from an outsider's perspective), nothing close the robbery that NJ just pulled on EDM, but a very solid trade for the Preds.
