But can be bought out of the back half of it for next to nothing as his yearly salary will be at around a million bucks in 5 years - obie
No...not next to nothing..Nashville was forced to match that offer sheet to get the good 6 or 7 years out of Weber and face the consequences of it later. Well Poile just worked his magic and eliminated that and got an equally good player signed through is prime years. |

Weber is top 3 in the NHL today, he won't be falling off the face of the earth in 3 seasons - obie
Top 3, what a joke that is. You are not a hockey fan, you know squat. Go back to watching rugby or badminton. |

You claim subban is by far offensively superior and that the facts don't lie yet the stats say weber had 20 goals to PKS 6 last year |

It would cost at least 2 million over multiple seasons. Do you even realize what you are saying? You are already satisfied with the fact you will have to buy him out...you traded subban a top 5 defensmen for an older top 5 defensmen about to leave prime years that you'll have to buy out. Congrats |

Trade is ok for a couple years. Nothing changed. Team is still dependent on price
Long term, therrien and Bergevin were the ones to go, not subban. |

Buyouts cost you 3/4 of the player'syearly salary spread out over twice the length of remaining years.... so to buy out a player making a million dollars a year with 4 years left would cost 3 million total spread out equally against the cap over 8 years |

To the Habs, Subban was a wild horse that couldn't be tamed. It's possible Nashville will be able to, as a Habs fan I'd like to think they tried everything. However when you have Therrien as coach I can't be sure... |

Anyway I'll let you have your opinion everyone has one..as a Sens fan I'm ecstatic we don't have to play subban in our division anymore..I'm sure other teams feel the same way |

I doubt it... Toews sure seemed pretty happy not to have to face Weber on a regular basis anymore |

Without the hardware its just an opinion..subban has it already and he did it at the age of 25...weber is 31 and hasn't done it yet should tell you something..there is simply better players at that position them him if he can't win it. |
