As is Larsson, it was a massive payment, but the Oilers will be a more balanced team with Lucic/Larsson.

With all the talk being about our LWs, I wonder now what our right side is gonna look like next season. Eberle? Pulj? Yak? Hopefully no Korp.

What's your point? Neither are sure #1 guys. That's what we need. Not more 2-3 guys playing over their heads.

I actually don't mind the trade for hall. Oilers needed a right handed defense man badly. Sure they lost value, but it's easier to fill a scoring winger position then it is to fill a center or top 4 defense men. Adam Larson is no goal scorer, but for a team that barely scored any goals and still finished positive +/-. He's known as a top 2 shut down defense.

If we sign Lucic, and Demers, our team looks completely different and bigger. Scoring goals i don't think will be an issue, and the largest factor that came down to it, was drafting Puljujarvi. That kid is going to be good, and imagine a line of Lucic/McDavid/Puljajarvi. Fast, strong. Or even 2 lines:

Maroon/McDavid/Eberle
Lucic/Drais/Puljajarvi

Hell, our third line has 2 1st rounders with Nuge and Yakupov which could slot into that second or first line at any time.

i don't think a top line forward has the same value as a top line defender .. let alone right handed.... oilers fans are saying chia should have gotten a better defence man for hall.. ... but who is this better defence man?.... the cost of elite defenders is astronomical.

No. He isn't. We play NJD five times a year. Larsson stinks. You guys just got hosed. Chiarelli won't be able to sit down for a month.

Larsson hasn't put up points but he is underrated offensively, he is smart and doesnt make stupid decisions

If larsson sucks so much why did he lead the devils in ice time playing against the other teams top line, very good on the pk and makes the right plays without forcing plays

He didnt play on the PP and still lead the team with ice time, not a fan of +/- but i believe he finished +2 on a team that struggled mightily to score.

Yeah he is no karlsson but he is much better than you give him credit for, and playing with a team full of skilled forwards expect him to get more points
