The love and respect for how good hall is has reached all time levels all of a sudden !!

The timing is all so coincidental it seems

- Ihateallofu

I think you are confused, or ignorant. I am talking facts.

And in regards to timing, wtf does that even mean. Of course we are talking about this trade, new flash, it happened today. You wanna talk about it in a month from now/

Like MacTavish before him? So just bank on another overpaid UFA Dman to fix our entire backend.

He's referring to all the Hall bashing and now he's gone and everyone is quick to point out how good he was.

Why are you even here? We all know it's an overpayment. We don't need to be told so. Nor do we need apologies. Do you think you're helping or bringing a new thought to the table?

I have no problem with trading Hall but the return is a little underwhelming.

What facts are u referring to ?

Please don't bother sending me links regarding Taylor hall. I've seen more of the guy and forgotten more about his positives and negatives than you'll ever know.

You missed the point of the tongue in cheek comment

Well, we all forecasted it. I just don't understand why people even come here. I get the trolls, but those who genuinely don't think they're trolling and instead come to tell us about how bad the trade is.

Oilers have enough firepower up front to pull this off.

They are a more rounded team today.

- robin_steele264

This cannot be disputed, esp after the Lucic add. Still only got 65% of Hall's value. They still are a better team today.

Time for Yak to put up or shut up.

Nope, always liked the guys play, and I have him in my keeper league of my pool, so going to the worst offensive team in the league, sucks.

And I don't think anyone is throwing out stats that they most didn't know about Hall. He is a top 3 LW in the league.

Nobody should need any stats to understand that, if you watch any hockey.

At face value, no doubt about it

Chiarelli even spoke that he's not a sexy big name player as of now .

The trade isn't as brutal as my initial reaction I don't think.
Larsson's a quality player and I think shero valued him very highly. Shoulda extracted a pick or prospect as well though

At the end of the day, our offense still features Mc-(frank)ING-David, Draisaitl, Eberle, Nuge, PUJU, Pouliot, and maybe Lucic. Larsson has never passed to talent like that before. I'm not worried. I'll miss Hall and look forward to him maybe getting some credit that he deserves in an Eastern market.

It's just a trend. People bash the Oilers players and than when we make a trade they come in here to tell us how good they were.

Right, since the trade. I've read that he is a coke head, locker room problem, poor tipper, brutal drunk, and not nearly as good as his stats show.

It's all good. I'll believe it all for justifications sake.

No doubt. Our Defense is easily better today than it was yesterday. I was seriously just holding out hope Hall would land us a bigger fish. I've always like Larsson and when he was struggling his first few seasons with the Devils I thought the oil should have tried to get him.

Actually Chiarelli said the opposite.

So keep making poop up to justify it.

- Iggysbff

I don't need to justify anything. We got a top pairing RS defensman that we needed that's young and on a cheap contract.

This team already has enough firepower up front and yes we did overpay a bit but that's what happens sometimes. Hopefully we sign Demers too.

Guaranteed we're going to move up in the standings. Top 20 id say.

That's all background noise

The posters here who understand the oilers know how good Taylor hall is.

The only justification is we needed a top pairing rhd, we couldn't go into next season without one, and the market was steep
