This will hurt NJ more then EDM. It's harder to find a guy that can log big minutes and shutdown top players then it is to get a guy like Hall. Hall had one 80 point season and never scored more then 30 goals playing with other 1st overall guys and has missed games every year besides this past season. On NJ, he's be lucky to score 60 points.

EDM fans may not like it, but EDM won this trade not us for now.

Well that's the thing. IF his plan is to sign Lucic to replace Hall why wouldn't he wait until he got pen on paper. It's utterly careless to do it any other way. And I HIGHLY doubt that NJ had a gun to EDM's head.

There's no way EDM won this trade at least for the next couple of years anyways. If Hall can put up those numbers on truly dreadful EDM teams with only RNH to play with, how much better can he be with Henrique and a decent d core? Of course he'd probably be even better with McDavid but that point is moot now...

HAll never had to play defense with EDM, in NJ he's gonna have to. And Hall play with the best players EDM had, not 4th liners. Hall won't get more then 60 points this year.
