Two far different players. Not saying Hamilton is better, but he is much more of a risk taker and point getter. Ideally both grow as a 2D until they are a top 1D. Will be interesting to see which one is better in 4 yrs.

Have a look at Hedman's stats for his 1st 3 full seasons and compare it to Larrson's...... Very similar and Larrson had no one to play with.

The trade is a loss today no question BUT if he turns into Victor it will be all good in 2 years.

Right now, but could be a top pairing D in the not so distant future. The more time that passes the more I think this deal is better for the Oilers. At the very least it's better for their team right now, it gives the team more balance.

That's the thing. For Hall there should have been a big plus with Larsson. Us replacing Hall with Lucic doesn't make this trade any better.
