Wow, the Blues really missed the boat on this one. If they did Larsson for Hall, there's no reason they wouldn't have done Shattenkirk for Hall, even if the Blues had to thrown in a little more.

I problem that I have is that Hynes could possibly put Moore with Greene over Severson and Santini isn't a guarantee either. Remember a couple years ago when Merrill was supposed to be good? Could happen to Santini.

Hopefully some of these guys start thinking about playing here when free agency starts. To me it's becoming a very fun team to play for with all the guys we got all pretty close in age but they won't face the chronic losing like other organizations because of Schneider. Now go offer sheet Trouba or something lol

I think he could hit 45 ( not saying every year ). I think the most Kovy got with us was 41

Now NJ needs another top 4, probably future top pair D-man that we lost, despite what devfan30 says.

Larsson is a big loss for NJ's organizational depth on defense. The organization must be high on some of the other prospects. I'll be excited to see Santini in camp. Hope he can lock a spot down.

But defense has always been our identity since Lou came a broad. It's not gonna change now for Hall.

And Hall and Henrique played in Windsor together and had great chemistry. In fact Henrique's best offensive totals came when he play with Hall.

Severson DID play well with Greene..

this makes our defense situation a little more interesting- we now have another open spot.

perhaps Merill/Schlemko come back and is paired with Moore? Ray has got to be looking at some UFA somewhere.
Lets also keep in mind he can sign a UFA forward.. and this makes NJ a whole lot more attractive to whatever player we're targeting. Very nice Ray.

The rebuild may be through after that.. just a matter of developing our prospects.

Gionta scored scored 48 goals for us in 05-06 and that was definitely the Lou era. It's bad enough we have other fans labeling us as "defensive" as if it were 1995 again, let's not do it ourselves. Devils don't prohibit goal scoring.
