Devils have Scheider and Hall for Horvat and Larrson. That is insane. Fan base should be stoked

I'm stoked. Larsson will help the Oilers for sure but theres no way NJ could get a forward of Hall's caliber in the draft or FA. Great trade!

Wow I guess Shatty said he wouldn't extend there because we definitely could have gotten Hall + for Shattenkirk. Nice job on the trade!

top pair with Greene. he's 23, 6'3, 205, and has the poise and 2-way ability of a veteran. Great guy.

Adam larson is very good. He qas my favoeite player. Great contract very young. Was really our number 1 dman and will thrive in edm. That said, this is a good trade for us. I will miss lars, but severson did great with Greene year before, and I guess Shero thinks santini has a similar skill set

So I am hearing Shero is going to trade for Matt Cullen, at the deadline.. He will give up your 1st, or two 2nds... and Cullen will be out of gas.

Yes, pretty much the whole season. Played against the other team's best players, on the crappiest offense in the league, +15. Contrast to Karlsson -2 when he had 82 points to Larsson's 18. The only thing he doesn't do is provide a lot of offense (but NJ never put him on the power play and he can play a power play... if given pp minutes, will probably get 30-40 points)... he kills penalties and shuts down the other team's best forwards. The Oil hate this deal right now, but they'll fall in love with him by mid season.

In modern days, this trade is slightly better than Filip Forsberg for Erat and Latta.

Ordering a Hall Devils jersey right now. I'm poopting my pants. I'll miss larsson but he's no Taylor. No everyday the Devils get a former 1st pick. Me blocking out the hole Kovy ordeal.

I am a die-hard Sabres fan.
However, living in NJ (I live in Nashville, TN) for almost 7 years, I always follow the Devils.
Man, that was an AWESOME trade for the Devils!!!!

He is not a bad d-man...still not a good trade at all for the Oilers

Three problems

1) Not a guarantee that Hynes puts Severson on the top pair with Greene

2) NJ needs two top 4 defensemen and hopefully doesn't sign Demers to a sh!ty contract.

3) Hall has only been healthy for 1 season, last year. Usually misses almost 20-30 games.

They deal Hall because (1) he's injured a lot, (2) likely Lucic is signing, (3) they have a lot of offense. Main question is, why they didn't get another piece coming back....
