I'm not going to pretend I know who is better because they both play in the east and I haven't watched a whole lot of either.

But still, I don't think it's too big of a stretch considering the Panthers are comfortable using Pysyk as their replacement for Gudbranson.

There is absolutely 0 point in bringing up the comparison anyways. EDM gave up Hall, VAN gave up McCann, the difference in D-men would have to be Subban to Fayne to try and justify who got fleeced more.

As an Oil fan, after this trade it's pretty obvious you can't go around saying how much better of a GM PC is than any other GM. However, that still does not preclude other GMs from being bad (or making bad moves) as well.

Just because someones GM has made bad moves or someones team has sucked does not make them unable to comment on other GMs bad moves or other teams sucking. It also doesn't make you a troll for trying to give fair judgement on an issue (no matter how bad the team you cheer for is).

However, if you are in denial about your own teams faults, but more than willing to point out others, then you are nothing but a troll/homer/hypocrite.

Im not sure you can actually infer that from a couple analytical stats.....that'd be a pretty ignorant way of gauging players effectiveness.....

Colbourne centering the 4th line would look good. Just depends on how much he wants. With Dorsett making over 2 mill a year. I hope JB doesn't over spend on another 4th liner.

and the question is kind of moot (as you pointed out earlier). the relative costs for both players means that larsson should be exponentially better than guddy. the fact that it is up for discussion is not a good thing (from an edm perspective).

it would be very interesting to hear what edm offered for guddy.

My predictions for July 1st:

- Montreal fires Bergevin (later today/tomorrow/Friday) due to fan riots over trading the most popular Hab since Lafleur and Roy.

- Edmonton signs one (or both) of Demers and Lucic and then end up wishing they did Yak for Larsson instead of Hall as LV takes one of RNH/Yak in the expansion draft.

- Toronto fans cry about Stamkos, then realize that they aren't the Oilers or Habs fanbases and continually hi-5 each other saying, "WE HAVE MATTHEWS!"

Purely off those stats (specifically the percentages) Gubranson's highest % are in Top6(30%)/Top6(35%) and Larsson's are Top2(33%)/Top4(31%).

Basically I'd say (based off that) Guddy is a 4/5 and Larsson is a 2/3 D-man.

The thing that gives Larsson significantly more value is their respective contract situations. Regardless, that value does not even come close to making up the difference between Hall/McCann.
