One of my faves. No sense discussing it though. It is a mute point.

This is why I would never move to the west coast. Could you imagine waiting an extra 3 hours everyday before getting (frank)ed up?

Meh, just keep two different time zones/have a world clock on your phone.

EST labeled as "Acceptable Substance Abuse Time"
PDT labeled as "You have Issues"

Having Stamkos off the market early will likely benefit the next wave of UFA forwards. Teams are now circling back on "Plan B" options.

Guys like okposo and backes and Ericsson gonna get paid.

- burn

Yup. And Ladd and Lucic.

6-7 per year..... please avoid!

this is where the LEafs have historically have fallen on their faces.

yes, you overpay for the Steven Stamkos' of the world ... because they elite difference makers.

where none of the guys you mentioned here are anything close to that - good players, difference makers no.

it was very appropriate that someone ran a story about the signing of Tim Connolly yesterday.... not even remotely close to elite or a difference maker.

I'm waiting to see who signs Lucic to a 7 year deal as part of my Stamkos therapy.

I actually think Lucic would be an interesting add ... but not for anything more than 3-4 years. His lack of foot-speed will translate into increased frustration on the ice... I can see many suspensions in his future.

But someone of his style who could provide a little space for his younger linemates might be a good thing...

overpay - no.

For sure, which is exactly why he and his agent will hold term as a high priority and somebody will give it to him.

Yeah, you know it! Old Bala Road (trail) starts right off Pine Lake... takes a full day to hike to Bala, past a couple untouched lakes, giant boulders that form caves, some swampland, etc.

There's also narrows at the end of the lake that lead to a cottageless provincial park protected lake that's teeming with bass.
