I don't think you can actually write an agreement that forces Tampa to trade you, so he's running the risk of signing an 8-year agreement, and then having Stevie Y inform him that he has changed his mind and the deal is off.

Remote possibility, sure.

But it's still out there.

this wouldnt be an issue. if any team agrees to something like that and reneges on the deal it would greatly hurt that organization's reputation and would deter other players from going there.

it also isnt an issue because if they were going to give him the money that the new team is willing to give, stamkos would have already signed an extension with them. yzerman was very clear that he's not going to pay that much so there's no chance this would happen.
