To be fair of all the high picks the Oilers have had, RNH was a bust, Yakapov was a bust, Eberle was so-so, Draisaitl - not sure yet, Nurse - not sure yet, Hall - almost a point a game - decent for sure, and McDavid - excellent. The reason that this trade seems one sided is that Edmonton traded (apart from McDavid) their best player for a d-man that was a high pick but has seriously under performed since drafted. No arguing that Oilers have the assets. Just appears that Chiarelli overpaid. |
