I agree, these late rumours of the Islanders, Canucks, Sabres and Wings were all to generate TV ratings.

The only team I know very well, of course is Vancouver and there was no way he was ever coming here. When TSN reported it, we all just gave a collective finger in the air and turned to Sportsnet.

I think it is so unfair how they play with the fan base emotions.

I would have loved to see Stamkos in a Leafs jersey. But I don't care that he didn't sign, because the Leafs already have plenty of good young forwards.

I will, however, offer you my sympathies as a Canucks fan. I'm sorry your team wasated a draft pick on Jake Virtanen with Ehlers and Nylander still available. I'm sorry your team took the third best dman available in the 2016 draft, with the fifth overall. I'm sorry your beloved Canucks have an idiot at the helm, your core players are almost 40, and the team is a declining mess.
