Suggesting SS was trolling is dumb.

However, I'm ok with some bitterness and resentment over the fact that he chose TB over TO. I may have made the exact same decision as him and I think he'll be worth every single dollar but that doesn't mean I can't wish further clotting of blood upon him.

That's what makes us fans. It's us against the world.

Good luck playing the wing and pimpin' Denny's (frank)head!

Damn right.

I'm in the "(frank) stamkos" camp.

He did what was best for him and he has that right.

I also have the right to dislike him for shunning my team. I want whats best for my team. I have that right.

(frank) Stamkos.

This is all about hating 29 other teams and wanting no happiness or success for any of them but my team. It's how this poop rolls. Rivalry, booing...that's sports son.

on that theme... should the Leafs offer sheet Rasmus Ristolainen...

just to piss the Sabres off?

No. Sign players. Don't give up assets. Stay the course. Let's give our own youth a shot before we look to others teams.

Ah muffin.
Jealous much?

- .HOHO.

no.. I rode around a lot in them.. my mom has a Mercedes...

Its just not very enjoyable for a local to have their area bombarded by entitled rich (frank)ers.. that's a big reason why I prefer North Bay over Muskoka.. people just come here to fish.

(frank) him.

We didn’t want his sorry ass.

Dubas probably has massive spreadsheets telling him that stamkos is set for 8 injury plagued 20 goal seasons.

Nothing worse than having to go "into town" in those places on a long weekend.

Rather backes. But if backes isnt willing to do a short term contract. I wouldn't completely hate it.

no he wont!

cottage rules (hopelessly attempted to be enforced by wife/significant other)

1) no drinking before 12 (which really means 10)
2) no internet except to find location for dinner
3) no sleeping in... you have to get up to make coffee for same significant other
4) no bacon (ya right)

also forgot canoe...

not a plastic kayak... a canoe.

epic... nothing like getting caught is late summer thunderstorm crossing the sound (or trying to) in a 20-25 mph cross wind

good times.

- BorjeFan4Ever

We rented a cottage a few years ago, and it had a Mayak. kinda like a kayak, but you didn't sit in it - you sat on it, and it was configured so you were almost kneeling.

The thing was franking awesome. You could paddle around the lake, jump off, jump back on, put a kid on the back or even let the kid paddle him/herself.

I looked into it- apparently made by a Quebec company a few years ago, and no longer exists.

But better than a kayak, and better than a canoe in calm waters.

We use to go up to Big Doe Lake every summer as a kid, then we eventually bought land and built a cottage by Carling Bay, sold that land to the Marina. Then as a whole family, we bought land in a private bay on Bell lake and built a house plus two cabins.

Miss going up there, had own beach but now I have an ocean as my front yard up at the cabins, lol.

- LeafMan

hey - not far apart... my parents had a small "cabin" (yes it really was a cabin) on Dent Bay... my favourite canoeing spot was Loon Bay ... all the way up to the end ... where there was swampy water which we labelled the inland lake. Used to land substantial pike who would cruise in there at sunset for a frog feast.

nothing like have a 10-15 pound ticked off pike pulling you around through the lilly pads in your canoe with an open beer in one hand and a fishing rod in the other....
notice no mention of a paddle

I dated a sweetheart for a while... who's family was totally into the whole rich-over-the-top cottage scene... I actually hated going there... it was like sitting in a suburban back yard.

much preferred Parry Sound and area back in the 80s... rustic, not heavily occupied, and no one who even cared to try and come up with rules.

sunshine
cool water
great fishing
beer

loon calls at sunset... accompanied by the sounds of a cap coming off a cold beer!

- BorjeFan4Ever

I feel ya man...

nothing like a loon call at dusk.. I love the older cottages more too..
