Tomorrow will be interesting to tune into "The Convo" just to see Norman James' rant with Mike Augello on Stamkos not going to Free Agency and coming to the Leafs will go . He was so fixated on him coming home like no other.

With being so fixated on McDavid last year and Matthews this year, I am so worn out on knowledge of next year's projected top pick. Who is it?

We need to grab another Top 8 pick next year and I would love to see us close to the playoffs and win the lottery for # 1, that would piss them all off good.

Stay the course and only look for premier Free Agents that make a huge difference (we should be done this year now already, no Plan B's) or go 3rd tier of serviceable 1 to 2 year contract types that can be flipped for futures later. No 2nd tier disasters.

but the actually point is, you mentioned Marner and his frame , digging those corners and his size... but size really isn't an issue to succeed. Enter: Kane. and many others.

Marner won't be a center. Especially with Matthews & Kadri. that and they can still keep Nylander at C, regardless of what Babcock said. Plus, Bozak is still a Leaf.

JvR needs to be traded to bring in defensive help. Sorry JvR lovers.

Not what I'm looking for either. Just saying I could see it happening, if he produces like last year then he could fetch a 2nd or a 3rd at the trade deadline. I also agree with you on the Marner front. But I can imagine the Leafs will take their time with his size.

Well if Mathews is a great center and Marner becomes one also doesn't that give you an asset in Kadri to trade for a position of need?
Not to mention the fact that Kadri would be a perfect 3rd line center.
