I can't believe the Habs and Oilers made those trades.
But I am glad they did, particularly the Habs because that is a team that will now be in very tough to make the playoffs.
The have trouble scoring so they trade one of the best offensive d-man in the league.
Unbelievable - Rang
Ummm, Weber scores more than PK.
20-5 last year. |

@MikeInBuffalo It just means we have more cap space to address areas of need. Our future is bright with Matthews, Kadri, and Nylander at C.

Jesus Christ HH Twitter timeline is like being in Nonis head. My gawd. He's arguing that Webber is better player "pk plays for the name on the back, Webber plays a team game, *ignores all stats*"

Well, I was wrong about Stamkos. I offered to wager lots of people too, nobody took me up on it. Even my gambling addict buddies were scared off because I seemed so certain about it.
But like I said, if they got him that would be exciting, if they don't, they are still doing all the right things in a rebuild and don't yet have the risk that comes with a mega contract. Elite prospects they drafted themselves with cost control. It was always a win-win proposition.
As for the Montreal and Edmonton trades...we just continued the rebuild, they did poop that is downright Burke/Nonis Leafy. Those poops make no sense whatsoever.
It's amazing to see the Leafs staying the course with a rebuild while other teams do the unfathomable poop for a change. |

Imo pk better now and that will only worsen as the years go by. Pk will be 31 when his deal ends, Weber is that now. - burn
PK will be 33 won't he? |

He's nervous, but on the Devils, he'll be calm and ready, to score goals, but he keeps on forgetting, there's no McDavid now, time's up, it's over ... blaow!

Leafs are headed in the right direction with or without stamkos, spend the money elsewhere, where you really need it. Defense and Goaltending |

Good news is that this stamkos news hasn't cost the leafs anything. They still have tons of young talent to build around, they have smart management, their cap situation is in great spot.

It's a good day for the Leafs. Having Tampa resigning Stamkos takes the pressure off to make this move. The Leafs just need to stay the course and take their time doing the rebuild right. To rush it and wreck your cap moving forward, would have been a big mistake. If this would have come to be, two years from now, then different story. We finished dead last this year, and at best, we move up 7 spots in the overall standings, this year. Stamkos wouldn't have gotten us to the playoffs, in the coming year. However, if his health issues return, the Leafs would've been on the hook for the full contract, since the contract would not have been insured, like Nathan Horton. Let the other teams panic. Staying the course is the best move right now. - PrinceLH
So what you are saying is TB would not be able get insurance as well? |
