As for hockey heaven do you know what team has the best TV ratings in the NHL?

That is what I meant, Leafs paid it for the Pens, so we shouldn't laugh.

Meh....Leafs paid the bonus, to a guy that was on the team for several yrs, as a way to help move him. They wanted him out, change the culture. Mtl picked up an older player declining and has to pay him 8mil before he ever puts on a jersey for the team.

Schenn is too slow for Babcock's system, so pass. Schultz is a bottom pairing PP specialist, so pass.

Jason Demers would be a nice fit, mobile puck mover, good underlying stats, right hander, over 400 NHL games, yet still young enough at 28 to be effective for 4 or 5 years.

Cost permitting of course, but while the other teams are chasing the real big names this is the most prominent the Leafs should be after.

I can't believe the Habs and Oilers made those trades.
But I am glad they did, particularly the Habs because that is a team that will now be in very tough to make the playoffs.
The have trouble scoring so they trade one of the best offensive d-man in the league.

Wasn't Garth certain that Pegula would get the "biggest fish ever" because "pegula has been known to get A talent?"

Jason Demers would be a nice fit, mobile puck mover, good underlying stats, right hander, over 400 NHL games, yet still young enough at 28 to be effective for 4 or 5 years.

Cost permitting of course, but while the other teams are chasing the real big names this is the most prominent the Leafs should be after.

Can't wait for Garth's crying replies on how Stamkos didn't care about winning...only money? Or how he is greedy...somehow. How his legs won't work so Buffalo dodged a bullet. Tire fires and broken windows something something. But Buffalo has the highest tv rating when shown on basic cable
