Why get rid of Andy Frost? Anyone heard of why they let him go and who will replace him. His voice is iconic with the ACC.
- Frosty_Nipples
culture change..
they should change the stupid ass goal song too.. why do the Leafs have the worst goal song in the world?? |

I don't think that any of the over-paid vets have NMCs. I could see them putting someone like Greening or Michalek (or Lupul if he doesn't ""retire"") on waivers in order to clear up space for Marner. |

This only happens if he can steal the job from one and Greening may be the guy he beats out.
Lupul will be around until his contract ends or till next year TD. |

Nice write up and good read as ever. Honestly it is going to be a wait and see with Stamkos. Not holding my breath here he signs with Toronto but if he does hey good for us.
Rychel I liked picking up and think he could be a very interesting young piece. Be interesting to see just how fired up he comes ito camp, and how intent he is to earn that spot up instead of in the AHL.
Still think bodies are going to have to move and could prove interesting there in just what comes back.
And can say a game watched from the press box was AWESOME as a kid but that was the Gardens not the ACC! - Roadrunner75
cautiously optimistic regarding Stamkos - exactly!
certainly seems like the Rychel pick-up was inexpensive - but would have preferred to give Percy if he was going to be waived anyway (okay just being greedy).
I wonder if there's a deal to be made which would see a few of the Leafs CAP hits (Michalek, Bernier, Laich) who have 1 year terms packaged up for Columbus slightly longer contracts and some choice draft picks. Columbus has problems with CAP outright but more significantly with NMC/NTC coming into expansion draft next year. Reducing their longer term commitment to those could be bonus... Leafs won't have to worry too much as they'll have a bunch of entry levels on the books.
Columbas has the Korpisalo (young goalie) who put up pretty good stats and W-L record over 30+ games last season. |

did he?
idk i just assumed that no one has done it..
edit: yes he did.. 104pts his final season.. His production dropped which indicates he was disintrested.. Marners dropped a bit too. |

3 more years at 4.75? We should trade them Lupul, then they can LTIR him. Hartnell would be a good vet for Matthews.

I don't think so. Greening, Michalek and Laich all have contracts expiring after next season. Longer contracts will be more of a burden than these guys on the Leafs. These guys can either play mentor or ride the bus in the A to finish out their contracts, and the Leafs get the cap space for free next year. The almost 20 million that the leafs gain after this season is more than enough to fill some voids. |

No idea. Certainly a mystery.
On a totally unrelated note, I heard Jeffrey Lupul was taking voice lessons last week. |
