I honestly think the Leafs have a good offense, especially if all 3 kids (Nylander, Marner, Matthews) are in the NHL.

I agree with you, but the defense will be significantly upgraded by the fact that we now have a goalie that does not hold the NHL record for allowing most first shot goals. For a Montreal comparable to Bernier, you may recall "Red Light Racicot".

Coaches will match them up against top lines on the road. Can't have three rookies on one line, they are all offensive players.

I've got really high hopes for Zeitsev too. I like also that he's fluent in the language, which will help a LOT. I'm good with him, Gards, Rielly and Carrick. Hunwick less so, but if he's 6/7D I'm okay with it.

I like Andersen.... good young goaltender with what seems a bright future.

But he wasn't THAT great with Anaheim who have a much stronger lineup on defense.

I don't know how he'll do in Toronto.

Andersen was a huge pickup, with Matthews being scooped up and Stamkos being a possibility, it seems like the #1G position getting filled went under the radar a bit.

How nice to have talent that might not make the big club. A few years ago the Leafs had poopty AHL players that had to be in the line up...some on the first line ...Crabb, Boyce etc...

We need at least 4 forwards if we move out the junk. I would say that will be Marner, Brown, Rychel and one of Leivo/Sosh/Hyman/Lindberg (who I think is a dark horse, similar player to Hyman just with more size.)

So we are light on D. We need one more legit NHL D to balance things out and then at least 2 from the rookies and it will definitely be Carrick and Loov. So with all the players listed the line up should look something like....

JVR, Stamkos, Nylander
Rychel/Brown, Kadri, Komarov
Rychel/Brown, Matthews, Marner
Greening, Laich, Hyman/Michalek/Lindberg
