I'm serious... he will be either run out of town because he is not PK or he will ask for a trade.

This has Pronger and Edmonton written all over it...

Yes let's hope for him he doesn't injure an eye.

It will be nearly impossible to move that contract.

And that's what I love about Montreal. We're always on this side of the trade. Declining player on an unmovable contract? Call Montreal.

Player has an "attitude" problem in Montreal? Hey lets go acquire him for a pile of poop.

It's stupid. This team is not built to win anything in the next 2-3 years. Trading Subban for an older player? It's proof that this organization's one and only goal is qualifying for the playoffs. That's it.

That's my thing. Weber is clearly a good player right now but this is about the next 10 years, not just right now

So we were contenders last year? Because i'm pretty sure we were dead awful. We wouldn't be stronger contenders with PK.

I wasn't upset over either of those guys. Look beyond his goals and points. Almost every expert in the game has said he is declining. Many even said he shouldn't be on team Canada.

My point is if you trade Subban, trade him for pieces that will help you 2-3 years down the line. Then trade Pacioretty, Price and start over. What's Bergevin doing? There's no rhyme or reason to anything he does or says. It's like he makes it up as he goes.

2 very good dmen were traded today, one is a better leader/teammate though. you have to consider that. Habs did.

Exactly. I'm not pissed about Subban. We all knew Bergevin/Therrien (frank)ing hated him and this was the perfect opportunity to scapegoat and get rid of him. Fine. Writing was on the wall. But why Weber? It's poor asset management. It's what stupid teams do.
