Weber is much steadier. Still has a great shot for the PP, plays big, etc. He's a great DMan. It's the length of the contract that's the issue for me. - hscesq
Well that and maybe Pk will have those same attributes' as well in time

True. That's a good point. I don't believe he will, but I get your point. Look, I love PK and I will miss him. But I am also looking forward to not seeing a lot of things that came with his presence.

I'm kind of stuck on the combo package that was PK. There's no doubt Weber is great. He is. But PK gave his all for both the team, AND the city. And I just don't see Weber filling the shoes that PK is leaving.

I think you're right. But nobody can match what PK has in that area, insofar as charisma and such. It's impossible to do so.

And his age.
I might have been able to talk myself into this if they had gotten something with him. - habby
I absolutely can see Poile playing Bergevin like a fiddle.
-Marc, you're such a fine negociator, you really give me no choice. I won't ask for your 1st rounder anymore, but now this is my final offer. Weber for Subban straight up

I don't like the trade and that contract of Weber will be a disaster in a few years. But I guess Bergevin got what he could for a player he had to deal. The rumors about Subban not being like in the room must have been true.
Will be something to watch if that team does not bounce back next season.

I guess the bottom line for me is that I really feel that a better deal could have been made. The 10yrs left on the weber deal is just too much
