Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... Maybe playing in the East might help Weber's longevity.
Maybe only the 3 last years of his contract will be an albatross, instead of 5. |

(frank) this team honestly. People who honestly think this deal is good for the Habs are delusional. Weber already slowing down and is wrapped up until 40 years old. Bergevin and Therrien are completely clueless. |

I'm still in shock and think the habs could have got better value elsewhere. Pk was living under a microscope in Montreal. Every move he made on the ice he made was either praised or criticized. He likely wasn't gonna live up to expectations in Montreal after signing that massive deal. I expect him to be a top 5 defenseman in Nashville year after year because he won't be the man and in doing so will allow him to play his game the way he can. You likely won't see anymore spin o rams and trying to do to much because he was the only competent d man Montreal had and that forced him to try and so too much. Weber should provide that calming presence that the d core needs to succeed. Again not happy but I'll reserve harsh criticism until after I see weber on the ice for the habs. Tampatch should also be stripped of the c and put on weber. Weber is and has been a warrior his whole career and the players should respect what he brings to the rink every day. |

I'm guessing management is thinking Sergechev can step in and play this year. He's not Markov's replacement... He's Subban's. |

i don't. then the Subban trade will have been for nothing. i want to see the depths to which these two troglodytes can sink this organization. i think it could be good. like Mike Milbury-Islanders good. or expansion Ottawa Senators-good. - DoubleDown

i think all Bergevin wants is a team that's gritty. they don't have to be good, they don't have to score goals, they just have to have character and be able to grind for 60 minutes. better to lose 2-1 than win 6-3. - DoubleDown
This in no way explain the DD love |
