Guys.
Only 10 years left at a cap hit of $7.85 Million.
In other good news, only 10 more years in the Rogers / NHL agreement too. - Mashadar
what's the cap recapture penalty on his contract if he retired before that? |

David Samson was a better gm than Bergevin - Fredo
i would rather have Jeffrey Loria and Claude Brochu running this team than Molson and Bergevni. |

This team is such a joke. Shea Weber is under contract until 40 and he's already on the decline. We traded a younger, better and more productive player because of a fat useless coach and GM more concerned with his clothes then doing his job at making this team better. I hope they both get fired this year. Long overdue. Set this team back even more then it already was. |

I'm sure Bergevin thinks he's building a dynasty

i don't. then the Subban trade will have been for nothing. i want to see the depths to which these two troglodytes can sink this organization. i think it could be good. like Mike Milbury-Islanders good. or expansion Ottawa Senators-good. |

That's a tough one. It is possible that he is suffering from an undiagnosed case of Dementia or Alzheimer's |

It's really bad his last 3 years. Buyout cap hit in the final 3 years of his contract is $8.1 million.
To buy him out today you pay him $1.26 mill per year until 2036. |

i think all Bergevin wants is a team that's gritty. they don't have to be good, they don't have to score goals, they just have to have character and be able to grind for 60 minutes. better to lose 2-1 than win 6-3. |

Good point. Let's keep these clowns on regardless to see just how much of a train wreck they can turn this team into. I cannot believe that Molson actually ok'd this piece of this move. |

Molson doesn't give a poop as long as there are 21,273 in the building every night. Bergevin could trade for Hitler and Goehring and replace the CH with a (frank)ing swastika and he wouldn't bat an eyelash if the building stayed full. |
