He is just what the Oilers need. Of course he would have to waive his no-trade, but I think a trade of Hall for Bogosian + something else, is definitely going to happen.

Has anyone here ever had their eye ball get scratched? The wife was holding up the dog (rat) and his nailed scratched her eye. She went to the doctors but seems to have a lot of problem with light in the eye right now. Anyone know anything ?

I know it stings like a female dog, but it heals in a week or so.

There is no context to the screen shot, it was a probably sarcastic remark about someone calling a player a bust.

Naw, that isn't the loophole.

Wedgie and I had this discussion last week. He posted up the relevant parts of the CBA.

It is pretty clear that the Leafs can't offer any sort of deals with any affiliated or associated company. I don't even think they could broker a deal unless they could show that the deal was not being given to Stamkos for some favor or consideration from MLSE.

Suffice to say it is murky water and circumvention in this regard is really not all that easy.

The one thing that rings true about the whole McCown blurb is the deal having been vetted by the league. The League has broad-stroke power to label something as cap circumvention. The Leafs would HAVE to make sure that is acceptable before they proceed.

It doesn't seem legit. Pretty sure no businesses affiliated with the team can offer an endorsement as part of getting the player signed.

If the Leafs' corporate structure gives them some kind of loophole, it'll be the first time excess bureaucracy was actually beneficial... But it's also the kind of thing the NHL might close up and punish retroactively.
