They can't do that.
But i could see them trying to get creative. like paying a fee to a non related party who then pays a similar fee to Stamkos.
No matter how they try to do it. It's cap circumvention in my opinion.

If they wanted, they could ask around what some companies would pay to have Stamkos endorse their brand or product and for how much and put that into a nice tidy file in their contract offer. Not saying they would bother but that's the only way. |
