Has anyone here ever had their eye ball get scratched? The wife was holding up the dog (rat) and his nailed scratched her eye. She went to the doctors but seems to have a lot of problem with light in the eye right now. Anyone know anything ?

Yes. I had a chip of plywood stuck in my eye, and went throughethe same thing. They applied a dye the second time ago, and found out I had a scratched retina. Antibiotic, a cream for my eye, drops... And no light whatsoever for 72 hours. Took a few more the to really feel the same again, but it stopped hurting after the few days with no light.

My daughter had a scratched eyeball from a piece of bristolboard, she had treatments at the hospital every day for about 10 days.

I had a sliver of wood fly into my eyeball from a saw and get stuck way up on top of the eyeball, and after I washed it out my vision was affected but it gradually got better. Those things you can buy at the drugstore that have a rinse solution and eye cup that you press against your eye are really nice if your eye hurts.

Also, tell her that studies have shown that swallowing semen is good for your corneas. This is bullpoop, but when your eyes hurt you'll believe anything.
