I've believed it for a while. That's not even fan bias or trying to chirp other teams. As a Leafs fan I know better than to get my hopes up. But with everything that has gone down, I'll be genuinely surprised if it's not happening.

Yep his Kadri hate get'n tiring....

Ok. So I say that paying assets for the right to overpay Stamkos in terms of length of contract and cap hit doesn't make any sense. And your response is that you're not a chef...

Fact is Stamkos wasn't really close to being a top ten player in the league this year. He obviously has the talent to get himself back in that group, but if a team like buffalo is willing to give him 11 or 12 per year. They can have him.

It's an issue in that they are trying to make if work as best they can going forward, it's not an issue in that they have enough room.

I would have to think a letter on the jersey would be kind of an afterthought, and kind of assumed in this case...but being the C of an original six team does have some prestige I guess, there's legendary players that you're following. But it'd probably be more like with Babcock - yeah we can pay you the money, that's a given, aside from that, we're going to climb the Mount Everest that is breaking the '67 curse. Either that's a big draw or it's not.
