The idea of giving up an asset like JVR for the ability to overpay Stamkos is absolutely ridiculous.

The whole reason we should want him and be willing to overpay is because it doesn't cost any assets...

At this point, we are probably far better off letting another team have him. Especially if he is only going to a be a 70 or 80 point guy going forward.
