What's the wishlist for Friday?

I don't think anyone has specifically stated that we wanted anyone long term. If we do sign a big name FA I would hope it's max 4 years with more money. I agree we should sign cheaper options but will that happen? We will find out soon enough. 3 days.

I really hope that JB goes away from any FA and surprises us...in a good way, there seems to be a lot of quality players that are not being qualified, time to change lanes.

I completely understand why you feel this way..I only partially disagree, but that's not going to happen. jB and Linden will be out of a job if they don't sell some tickets

I think Benning is being a bit hypocritical - he indicates and emphasizes his preference for 'high quality' character players and yet he's going after what is the antithesis of 'high quality' character. I'm surprised that Linden et al are on board with this. I know it's all about putting people in the seats but I just don't think Lucic would be a good fit here. More importantly, he is going to be seeking term as well as dollar, something which is going to handcuff the Canucks in a few years time. I could perhaps see this signing if the Canucks were much further along in their 'retooling' but at this point in time, do you want a guy like Lucic mentoring JV and other impressionable young players?

My coworkers daughter only dated hockey players and ended marrying a former NHLer now in the K. She's knows the Lucic family quite well and the feedback on Milans character is not too favourable......but that just one persons opinion.

She felt Milan prefers to sign in Vancouver but would say it's about 50/50.....I don't think anyone really knows at this point do they?

I'm a broken record. 22 goals and 14 goals for a 25 year old who wasnt qualified I'd take a chance on a Brandon Pirri.

The only reason we are even talking about Lucic and eriksson is the desire of this franchise for quick fixes and playoff appearances. Different Management team same approach. Doomed to repeat history.

And Bergevin and Yzerman deserve consideration for NHL's hypocrite of the year and there are plenty of candidate to chose from.

Bravo NHL for fining Benning, his mistake was speaking to the fans and not one of the league's pre-approved insiders as Bergevin did. Joke.
